IKEA NEW ZEALAND LAUNCH

IKEA. The iconic Swedish brand found in homes all over the world. Except New Zealand. With years of ‘coming soon’, and opening just one store in Auckland, IKEA risked leaving out 3.5 million Kiwis living in the rest of the country..

Our mission was to launch a global giant in the most Kiwi way possible and we did it from New Zealand’s most trusted couch -the Seven Sharp couch, on New Zealand’s most trusted current affairs show.

We packed our flatpacks and hit the road with The Swede As Road Trip. Touring the country with 2 sets for the show, fully decked out with IKEA furniture. The Swede Ss Road Trip covered 1600km across New Zealand, connecting with locals all over the country. We also ran a competition and surprised a viewer live, on-air with 10K from IKEA.

I concepted and art directed this partnership. Delivering in-show content across the campaign period whilst creating and managing digital assets and the competition around the partnership.
